Welcome to Rumin. By accessing our website, application, or services and completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Service provider identification
Rumin («we», «our», or «the Platform») is an e-commerce service that facilitates the purchase and digital delivery of mobile data eSIM plans for travelers in Latin America and other international destinations.
Rumin acts as a technology intermediary: we procure and activate connectivity plans through authorized telecommunications providers (including, among others, Zendit) and deliver them to end users via QR codes and digital activation credentials.
The service you contract is exclusively the provision of the selected eSIM data plan, its digital delivery, and associated activation support. We are not a mobile network operator and do not provide traditional voice services unless expressly stated in the purchased plan.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
To use Rumin you must be of legal age under the laws of your country and have a device compatible with eSIM technology and unlocked for mobile networks.
By completing an order, you declare that the information provided (name, email address, and other requested data) is accurate and that you are authorized to make the payment.
3. Service description
Rumin offers prepaid mobile data plans delivered as eSIMs. After payment is confirmed, we send installation instructions and the QR code or activation credentials needed to configure the eSIM on your device to the registered email address.
Coverage, speed, plan duration, and applicable geographic areas depend on the specific plan purchased and the associated networks of the underlying provider. We recommend reviewing plan details before purchasing.
- The eSIM is a digital product for immediate use.
- Activation may require an internet connection (WiFi) at the time of installation.
- The plan validity period generally begins when connecting to the destination country's network or when mobile data is activated, as indicated by the provider.
4. Prices and payments
Prices are displayed in the currency indicated at checkout (e.g., COP or USD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Payment is processed through secure third-party payment gateways (e.g., Mercado Pago, dLocal Go, or other methods available in your region). Rumin does not store your full card details.
An order is only confirmed once payment has been approved. If payment is declined or voided, no eSIM will be generated or delivered.
5. Service delivery
Service delivery is digital and immediate upon payment approval, by sending the QR code and/or activation credentials to the email provided and/or to your platform account.
It is the user's responsibility to verify that the email address is correct and to check the spam folder. If you do not receive the email within a reasonable time (usually minutes), contact support before attempting to purchase the same plan again.
6. Refund and cancellation policy
Because Rumin provides a digital service with instant delivery, the following refund rules apply:
- NO REFUNDS once the QR code or eSIM activation credentials have been generated and delivered to the user (by email or displayed on the platform), regardless of whether the user has installed the eSIM on their device.
- Upon receipt of the QR code, the digital product is considered consumed and non-revocable, in accordance with the nature of the service and applicable regulations on immediately performed digital content.
- REFUNDS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE when the service has failed due to causes attributable to Rumin or its connectivity provider, and provided all of the following conditions are met: (a) the user contacted support within 48 hours of purchase; (b) the eSIM could not be activated after correctly following installation instructions; (c) our team or the provider technically verifies the service failure; and (d) there is no misuse, undeclared device incompatibility, or error in data provided by the user.
- If a refund is approved due to service failure, it will be issued through the same payment method used, within 5 to 15 business days depending on the financial institution.
- No refunds are granted for: change of travel plans, purchase of the wrong destination, eSIM-incompatible device, carrier-locked device, full or partial plan consumption, coverage issues in areas not covered by the plan, or incorrect device configuration by the user.
7. User obligations
The user agrees to use the service in compliance with the law, these terms, and the fair use policies of the network provider.
- Verify eSIM compatibility of your device before purchasing.
- Do not resell, redistribute, or publicly share QR codes or activation credentials.
- Do not use the service for unlawful activities, fraud, or abusive network use.
- Keep your account access credentials confidential.
8. Limitation of liability
Rumin does not guarantee uninterrupted coverage in all locations or specific minimum speeds, as these factors depend on third-party infrastructure, terrain, weather, and network congestion.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rumin shall not be liable for indirect damages, lost profits, data loss, or harm arising from use or inability to use the service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence duly proven.
Our total liability to the user for any claim related to an order shall not exceed the amount actually paid for that order.
9. Intellectual property
The Rumin name, logo, platform design, and content are the property of Rumin or its licensors. Reproduction without express authorization is prohibited.
10. Modifications
We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will be published on this page with the last updated date. Continued use of the service after changes implies acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia, without prejudice to non-waivable rights that may apply to you as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.
Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bogotá, Colombia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
